Whilst watching last night's squid battle on Iron Chef, I came to the realization that there is an uncanny similarity between my beloved Austin Scarlett (of Project Runway fame) and Chairman Takeshi Kaga.
I'm sad that I will no longer get to see dear Austin on my television each week, so I'm thinking we must find a new opportunity for him. Perhaps Austin should become the Chairman of a new reality series -- Iron Designer.
I can see it now.
Tonight’s theme is Dotted Swiss. Can Iron Designer Michael Kors defend his title against upstart challenger Heatherette?
Failing that, Austin should at least get a job designing costumes for the ladies of the Takarazuka Revue. His style is perfect for it and I would love to see his design process unfold on my TV screen.
I can see it a bit, but Chairman Kaga is deeply creepy while Austin is simply flamboyant.

nonono, someone one TWP had the best idea EVER, Austin should have his own show on HGTV or DIY about sewing and how to make your own clothes, perfect right?

I would like an all Austin all the time show, but his idea of glamour and construction are definitely not d-i-y, at least not with my lack of sewing skills. Perhaps, in order to satisfy all concerned we just need an all Austin all the time network. I wouldn't mind a show that just featured him flouncing about in his tricorn hat. "Mein Hut, der hat drei Ecken"...
P.S. to Molly: Chairman Kaga is NOT creepy, he is just misunderstood.
