The Project: Hubba Bubba Bobble Scarf
The Yarn: Noro Cash Iroha - Plum - purchased from Knit Happens
The Needles: 4mm bamboo
Started: August 4 2005

This is yet another of my bobble scarves. I'm making this one for Angela and she'll send me some gorgeous earrings in return. It took me a couple of tries to get it to the perfect width, but it's now going well. The cash iroha is a dream to knit with. The thick and thin yarn gives an extra bit of texture that I like. I'm a bit worried that I will run short. We'll see... The color is incredibly vivid, and, with the bobbles, reminds me a bit of grape bubble gum, so have decided to dub this one the hubba bubba bobble scarf.

It is GORGEOUS! The color looks great, too.

ok, this is a weird question but it's been bugging me for a few days (and I think it's funny). Why do the Japanese percentages not match up to the English ones? Im guessing they dont differentiate between wool and cashmere, why?! just a weird thought

That's super weird! I never even noticed. I'm going to have to ask my sister the kanji master if she knows.

Hi, kanji master here(hardly). The first kanji is for hair, fur or wool (and also the first one in my fab hanko- moori-hair benefit)so it's for both wool and cashmere, I guess. The 2nd kanji is for silk and the katakana says "nairon".

Cool - thank you! Do you know why they don't break out the cashmere from the wool?
Posted by: Amy | August 12, 2005 at 12:27
Nope, but they're both hair from similar animals, so...
