memester
I do believe this is the first time I've been tagged for a knit blog meme. Thanks, Yahaira!
What is your all time favourite yarn to knit with?
Hmm, I suppose that would be Lamb's Pride Worsted. I love the fuzzy mohair halo and nice sheen. I've used it in a few projects, including the mitten I'm currently working on.
Your favourite needles?
Crystal Palace bamboo straights. I have my sister to thank for that because she gave me my first pair.
The worst thing you've ever knit crocheted?
That would be my sad little foray into crochet; the Audrey Hepburn on top & J-Lo on the bottom bag. The photo certainly doesn't capture how truly pathetic this bag was. I speak of it in the past tense because I do believe I threw it away.
Your most favourite knit pattern? (maybe you don't like wearing it...but it was the most fun to knit)
Designed by someone else? Definitely Orangina. I leapt into the project angst free and am pretty happy with how it turned out. My other favorite pattern is my badonkadonk bobbles scarf. I was happy to find out this week that someone else has actually knit it too. Woo hoo!
Most valuable knitting technique?
Ripping out a few rows and putting a project back on the needles. It's made me a lot less stressed out about my knitting.
Best knit book or magazine?
The first Stitch n Bitch book has been a great resource for me. I habitually purchase Interweave Knits, Vogue Knitting, and now their newer spin-offs, but haven't really knit anything from any of them.
Your favourite knit-a-long?
The only knit-a-long I have participated in was the Tank Time Tank-Along, for which I knit Frida. I have vicariously enjoyed the Scarf Style knit-a-long.
Your favourite knitblogs?
I read a lot of blogs, and for so many different reasons. You can check out my sidebar for some good links.
I'll highlight three:
The Knitting Fiend - Great technical information and a wicked sense of humor.
s t r i k k e r obsessive cyber knitting - Great photography and knits a lot of projects I quite like.
Amelia Raitte: My Fashionable Life - I appreciate that this blog is very design oriented, and the projects are always beautifully photographed.
Your favourite knitwear designer?
Stefanie - Glampyre Knits. Her designs always have a bit of an edge that I like. So far I've made Paris Loop, Orangina and am working furiously on the Tubular Camisole.
The knit item you wear the most? (how about a picture of it!)
I'm an unabashed knitter of scarves (take that - crones of the craft) because I just love to wear scarves. The scarf I have probably worn the most is my Kira Kira Hikaru Scarf. The scarf feels really great because the mohair I used was nice and weighty. I love it!
Now for the fun part...
I'll tag Angela, Jill, Lucia, Megan, gleek and Kris!

hah! I love that bag name. See that's why everyone should stay away from the hook. I've warned all!
I heart CP needles as well, I just wish their circs didn't fall apart

My sad little bag. I heard the circ problem was due to a malfunction and they were better now?
