Two North-West communities are about to indulge in a day of "secret women's business", and it's all in the name of charity.A community knitting day will be held in Devonport and Burnie on July 8 to make clothing for children in Mongolia.
Organised by Adult Education staff, the idea for the day arose when they read about Sunrise star Melissa Doyle's recent trip to Mongolia to distribute knitted goods made by World Vision's Guardian Angel program.
"We thought a community knitting day would be a great idea," Adult Education North-West regional manager Fiona Ellis said.
