It's your business: New yarn shop is Klose Knit

When Brigitte Pieke ran a private middle school for girls, she made sure one of the things her students learned was how to knit.

Then, when she joined her husband on sabbatical in Washington, D.C., for a year, Pieke worked in a yarn shop.

Now she's starting a second career in Urbana, running her own yarn shop called Klose Knit. The shop opens today at University and Lincoln avenues and is sharing a building with Magic Needle next to English Hedgerow. [more]
